SAYING NOTHING
The unsuspecting boy found it breathtaking.He stared at the branches, the crippled
clouds, the rubble of a stable,
he stroked the shrubs,
walked downhill
and said nothing.
The unsuspecting boy found it inexplicable,
he smelled the wet tiles, he ran, bit
and beat the air with his fists.
He walked downhill
and said nothing.

ZWIJGEN
De nietsvermoedende vond het adembenemend.Hj bezag de takken, de hulpbehoevende
wolken, de resten van een stal,
streelde het struikgewas,
liep naar beneden
en zweeg.
De nietsvermoedende vond het onverklaarbaar,
hij rook de natte tegels, hij holde, beet
en sloeg om zich heen.
Hij liep naar beneden
en zweeg.
