Media design intern (f/m/x)

Poetry International Foundation is a literary organization with the goal of drawing attention to poetry from both the Netherlands and abroad and promoting international exchange between poets, poetry translators, experts, and enthusiasts. Our main activity is the Poetry International Festival, which annually presents a wide range of renowned poets and emerging talents from world poetry. The festival program includes readings, workshops, musical performances, panel discussions, and interviews. The organization is located in the centre of Rotterdam.

What will you do?

You will join our marketing team and play an important role in the execution of the festival campaign. You will work on creating photos, videos and other content for the website, social media channels, newsletters and print media. So you'll be comfortable with photo and video editing and design programs, and you'll know what's trending on Instagram, Snap and TikTok. You will work with the team and an external designer.

Who are you?

You are studying marketing communications or Media and Design;
You are independent, enterprising, curious and eager to learn, and find it easy to approach people;
Instagram, TikTok and YouTube are familiar territory, and you also find your way around Facebook, 'X' and Linkedin;
You enjoy photography and video and are comfortable with Photoshop and other Adobe programs (InDesign, illustrator);
You have an interest in poetry and/or spoken word;
You speak and write good Dutch and English;
You can do an internship at least three days a week during the months of February through June 2024.
