STRANGER IN MY MEMORY
Today I discoveredyour plaster statue
covered in mice
destroying your neck
with sharp little teeth
and I rescued the old hearts
wrapped in gauze
between the dried skulls,
small gelatin flowers
melting in the sun

EXTRAÑA EN MI MEMORIA
EXTRAÑA EN MI MEMORIA
Hoy he descubiertotu estatua de yeso
cubierta de ratones
que destrozan su cuello
con afilados dientecillos
y he rescatado los viejos corazones
envueltos en gasa
entre los cráneos secos,
pequeñas flores de gelatina
que se deshacen al sol
