Poem
Liana Mejía
SOMEONE BREAKS A LAMP
A body in the darknesscrumbles
as if fulfilling
a sacred ceremony
and from the deepest entrails
a pain cracks like a whip.
Torn from some convulsing throat
they call you by name.

ALGUIEN ROMPE UNA LÁMPARA
ALGUIEN ROMPE UNA LÁMPARA
Un cuerpo en la oscuridadse desmorona
como cumpliendo
una sagrada ceremonia
y vísceras adentro
un dolor de látigo restalla.
Desde una garganta desgarrada
te llaman por tu nombre.
