Poem
Carlos Vásquez
Do not leave me alone silent flesh where love founders
Do not leave me alone silent flesh where love foundersStone of the abandoned ones word in black stillness
Water of never being yours I don’t want to feel myself where I touch
Words go down your course and open an echo
Cascade made of heartbeats that a dark longing spins
Keep me satiated insatiable thirst
Sad stone pool that I invented to fall into
Water of my hours without life of my days without light
I fall in your moisture silence opens me
Thirst touches me with its happy lip
I awaken and the water is monotonous and white
I would like to stay, the plea not to be seen burns me
I hear the endless water… but where?
Drop by drop the night plunges down

Do not leave me alone silent flesh where love founders
