Poem
Vito Apüshana (Miguel Ángel López)
SIAPANA
In Siapana . . . young ladies come out to smile at every visitor from afar.
They say that the dark air of the Makuira hills surrounds them in ardent dreams . . .
There, the female animals teach them the thread of the inexhaustible . . .
In this way, they knit the designs of the fertilisation of the earth, singing the fire of their ancestors.
They confess that the Akaalalüi, the cruel and nocturnal goblins,
pursue their shadows and send them messages with the wind
about the sweat of fruit and the humidity of the crevices,
wishing to surprise them in any remote path
and take them toward de Pülowi world . . . toward the space of enchantment.
Some of them undo their heart under the side of the moon, and
cast off the water of their nombrils . . . the spirit of memory demanding of them
that they remain in flower amid the murmur of the goblins and the lances of absence.

SIAPANA
SIAPANA
En Siapana . .
allí, los animales hembras les enseñan el hilo de lo inagotable . . . ;
