Poem
Krešimir Bagić
Quasimodo at the Entrance
- in another town I opened my eyesI forested it with uncertain words
and ready for any sight
(watching a bird in flight)
I drink tea
is that enough
- I don’t know
- my body soars transparent
a man draws near to me and then a woman
they touch me entering the forest
they call knocking on the treetrunks
where they knock and knock on the moss growths
where they don’t nothing
is that enough
- I don\'t know
- I crossed myself
moved all into the light
to the point whence all returns
this autumn I strewed myself with dry leaves
and conquered space
hill by hill
house by house everything mine turned yellow
is that enough
- I don’t know that either
I never peer into other people’s temples
in my own I fold my hands and look up
towards the sky.

Na ulazu Quasimodo
Na ulazu Quasimodo
- otvorio sam oči u drugom gradupošumio ga nesigurnim riječima
i spreman na svaki prizor
(gledajući pticu kako leti)
pijem čaj
je li to doista
- ne znam
- tijelo mi je prozirno lebdeće
prilaze mi muškarac pa žena
dodiruju me ulaze u šumu
zovu kucaju po deblima
gdje pokucaju izraste mahovina
gdje ne ništa
je li to doista
- ne znam
- prekrižio sam se
prešao sav u svjetlost
u točku uz koje se sve vraća
jesenas se osuo žutim lišćem
i osvajao prostor
brijeg po brijeg
kuću po kuću sve mi požutjelo
je li to doista
- ni to ne znam
nikad ne zavirujem u tuđi hram
u svome sklapam ruke i dižem pogled
prema nebu
