THIRST FOR SPACE
I will give my life for the towerwhere the princess sleeps.
I don’t ask for more.
Tiny is the place
where my desire lies
and I despise
the ways that weave the golden wood
of misers.
A dream keeps me awake
a closed eye gives the light…
to me,
ignoring the water that washes
the happy ones,
having not seen the lands
where the sweetest drums sound.
I will give my life for the tower
where the princess sleeps.

SED DE ESPACIO
Daré mi vida por la torreen que duerme la princesa.
No pido más.
Diminuto es el lugar
donde reposa mi deseo
y desprecio
los caminos que tejen el bosque de oro
de los avaros.
Un sueño me desvela
unos ojos cerrados me dan la luz,
a mí,
que no conozco el agua que baña
a los dichosos
que no he visto las tierras lejanas
donde suenan los tambores más dulces.
Daré mi vida por la torre
en que duerme la princesa.
