The Straightforward Poems
9.verses are always
‘free’
even if
we rhymed them
put them in irons
imprisoned them in folios
they’d still behave like the fox
which played possum
on the fresh snow
let’s not kid ourselves
the fox will spring to life again
snow will stay white
paper empty
