The moonlight on the sea
bends after a coin
excuse me for barging
into it
as the façade of a crocus
absorbs eternity through dew
I rake up the shadows
like leaves
someone must have tampered with
the breathlessness
since it does not lie flat beneath my piece of paper
as usual
I throw the glove compartment into the sky compartment

De maneschijn in de zee
buigt zich naar een munt
sorry dat ik er binnen-
val
zoals de façade van een krokus
de eeuwigheid opneemt op dauw
hark ik slagschaduwen bij elkaar
als bladeren
iemand moet hebben gepeuterd aan
de ademloosheid
omdat die niet in watten onderaan mijn papieren staat
als anders
ik gooi het handschoenenvak de ruimte in
