Poem
Ashok Vajpeyi
DEATH
Like a birdeffortlessly, almost unseen
will come one day
the messenger of Death.
We will never know this
our ancestors will
hovering around our homes
like unseen birds.
Then one day it will come
like sunshine –
warmth spreading over our body,
like a child
led by the hand
for an early morning walk.
it will take us along.
