BUSTLE: 8. A woman in torn clothing

A woman in torn clothing
cries heart-wrenchingly
by the store’s revolving door
a married couple comes to a halt
muslim woman sprains her ankle
bags rush past the shopping route
the woman points her sobbed-on claw
at the striped sleeve of a man
listen up where did you get that child?

Een vrouw in gescheurde kleren

Een vrouw in gescheurde kleren
huilt hartverscheurend
voor de draaideur van V&D
een echtpaar remt af
moslima verzwikt haar enkel
tassen hollen over de winkelroute
de vrouw richt haar behuilde klauw
op de streepjesmouw van een man
zeg, hoe kom jij aan dat kind?
