ALTERNATION

Where to find something
other than days
or nights
dawn or dusk
In this peregrination
through sunny and shadowy paths

Every glow
is born and dies
in world and bodies
Its ruins
beat in the blood

Cold or heat
take our nakedness
Without shelter
or sweat or tears
they quench fatigue and thirst

From beginning to end
Moon
Sun
Stars
Earth . . .

When we close our eyes
with the last breath
the silence
tells us

ALTERNANCIA

ALTERNANCIA

Dónde encontrar algo
que no sean días
o noches
alba o crepúsculo
En este peregrinar
por rumbos de luz y sombra

Todo fulgor
nace y muere
en mundo y cuerpos
Sus ruinas
en sangre palpitan

Frío o calor
toman nuestra desnudez
Sin refugio
ni sudor ni lágrimas
sacian cansancio y sed

De principio a fin
Luna
Sol
Estrellas
Tierra . . .

Al cerrar los ojos
con el último aliento
el silencio
nos dice
Close
