THE LAND THAT WAS MINE
Just to meet Sofia Kühn,his thirteen year-old lover, Novalis believed in the other world;
but I believe in suns, snow, trees,
in the white butterfly on a red rose,
in the grass that waves and in the day that dies,
because only here I can hug you as a fleeting gift,
and finally like a god create myself in your pupils,
because I lose you, with the land that was mine.

LA TIERRA QUE ERA MÍA
Únicamente por reunirse con Sofía Kühn,amante de trece años, Novalis creyó en el otro mundo;
mas yo creo en soles, nieves, árboles,
en la mariposa blanca sobre una rosa roja,
en la hierba que ondula y en el día que muere,
porque solo aquí como un don fugaz puedo abrazarte,
al fin como un dios crearme en tus pupilas,
porque te pierdo, con la tierra que era mía.
