pdd-nos (nl) was introduced in 1990

pdd-nos (nl) was introduced in 1990 because psychiatrists sought a
dsm-category for kids who were not (quite) autistic kids  
(who were considered as not quite autistic because these
kids could only satisfy one or two of the three conditions
or had not satisfied the conditions on time or could only satisfy
them at a later age and none of the psychiatrists knew
how to help when it could not be determined when it had
started) so that the not (quite) autistic children would also
feel supported and for their parents to be entitled to the help 
available at the beginning of the 90s

among themselves they refer to it as ‘undefined diagnosis’
and this later turns up in the leaflet

equally strange place and the not (quite) autistic kid was the one
who bit

maybe the older brother is embarrassed (a few years above)
by his little brother’s behaviour, is his behaviour disturbed because
the professionals
were embarrassed too when his little brother
displayed this behaviour

you bit the kid because without prior warning
it had moved your sandwich and you had just put it exactly there

during the dance class you look for a place to rest

dsm-categorie wilden hebben voor (net) niet autistische kinderen
(die (net) niet autistisch genoemd mochten worden omdat de
kinderen maar aan een of twee van de drie voorwaarden konden
voldoen of niet op tijd hadden voldaan aan de voorwaarden of pas
op latere leeftijd konden voldoen en geen van de psychiaters wist
hoe te helpen als niet meer goed te achterhalen viel wanneer het
begon) zodat ook de (net) niet autistische kinderen zich voortaan
geholpen zouden weten en de ouders aanspraak hadden op de hulp
voorhanden begin jaren 90

ze noemen het onder elkaar een verlegenheidsdiagnose
en later staat het ook in de folder

alle psychotherapie voor kinderen is een beetje

die stelling is mij bijgebleven
heeft thomas szasz gelijk gehad?
ik heb dat dan niet doorgehad?
valt toch wel op zou je zeggen
als het niet zo suf was niet zo vernederend was om te zeggen


als het niet zo vernederend was om te vragen

is het (oplopen van een trauma) niet zoiets als voor het eerst
klaarkomen? het gebeurt je en je weet wat het is?

het lijkt het beste op een andere plek de schoolbaan door te lopen
nadat het (net) niet autistisch kind een tweede kind in bijvoorbeeld
de neus heeft gebeten of dat tweede kind is op een andere maar
even vreemde plek gebeten en het (net) niet autistische kind heeft
het gebeten

misschien schaamt de oudere broer (een paar lagen hoger)
zich voor het gedrag van zijn broertje is het gedrag gestoord omdat
de professionals
zich ook geschaamd hebben terwijl het broertje dit vertoonde

je hebt het kind gebeten omdat het zonder waarschuwen
je brood verplaatst had en je had je broodje juist daar neergelegd
