MARRIAGE
Her head has become too small for her,but she finds television fantastic!
The Pope is fantastic! He kisses the ground,
softly like a moth. Every week she sends him
a letter: ‘Pope, Rome’.
He has the old face of a small boy,
and he dreams about love. Every morning
he does the crossword in the newspaper
and then urges himself on to the order of
the day.
Together they have a little kitten which lost
an eye to a stone thrown from a
catapult.

HUWELIJK
HUWELIJK
Haar hoofd is haar te klein geworden,maar de televisie vindt ze fantastisch!
De paus is fantastisch! Hij kust de grond,
zacht als een mot. Elke week stuurt ze hem
een brief: ‘Paus, Rome.’
Hij heeft het oude gezicht van een jongetje,
en hij droomt van de liefde. Elke ochtend
vult hij de kruiswoordpuzzle in uit de krant,
en daarna dwingt hij zichzelf tot de orde van
de dag.
Samen hebben ze een klein katje dat een oog
is kwijtgeraakt door een steentje uit een
katapult.
