Poem
Richard Minne
The Poet\'s Vademecum
Act more stupid than you are,but watch for snares that trip you;
both time and space ignore
but bustle just like hens do.
Work without plan or measure,
But peep through every curtain;
Despise the solid burgher,
But drink deep of his flagon.

Vademecum voor den dichter
Vademecum voor den dichter
Doe dommer dan ge zijt,maar mijd u voor de klippen;
leef buiten ruimte en tijd
doch spoed u lijk de kippen.
Werk zonder mate of plan,
Maar spied door alle luiken;
veracht den burgerman,
doch ledig zijne kruiken.
