I TRANSLATE YOUR LIFE

I translate your life
with feng shui, receipes,  

I glue back your vocal cords
I tune the voice you had,
the tongue
written in your body

washed away by bleach, wind, the water of
                             dishes

i can read it                     still
in those x-rays you carry around
as your portfolio for gallerists,

and in the dust at the bottom of drawers
and in that one left inside gloves

during all these years of acid rain,
that have cleaned your bones like silverware.

I TRANSLATE YOUR LIFE

Ti traduco la vita,
attraverso il feng shui, le ricette

ti rincollo le corde vocali
ti accordo la voce che avevi,
la lingua
che ti è scritta nel corpo

che ti ha lavato via la candeggina, il vento, l’acqua dei
                                   piatti

io te la leggo                ancora
in quelle lastre che porti in giro
come il tuo portfolio ai galleristi,

e nella polvere in fondo ai cassetti
e in quella rimasta nei guanti

in tutti questi anni di pioggia acida,
che ti ha pulito le ossa come argenteria.
