[THE PARKER SOLAR PROBE COMPLETES ITS FOURTH ORBIT AROUND THE SUN]
To continue is not what you imagined
Peter Gizzi
To continue is not what you imagined:
elliptical curves are not surprised by anything;
nor is the second time derivative surprised;
but the sun is always surprised. What is sent back to earth
is more and more surprised; transmit, you’re losing momentum;
in the discharge sensors, there’s an imaginary chill
you would be surprised by, Sun, if you could be surprised:
to continue is something quite different. Upload, you’re losing momentum.
(The sun will not surprise them: streams in binary code
will swallow the one after the zero, adding to the clever neurons
formed of derivatives, surprise and silicon. Gazing at the distillate
they will transform it into a future, and make memes out of it.
To continue is not what you imagined;
The sun is always surprised. Transfer, you’re losing momentum.)

[ZONNESONDE PARKER VOLTOOIT ZIJN VIERDE BAAN ROND DE ZON]
To continue is not what you imagined.
Peter Gizzi
Door te gaan had je je niet voorgesteld:
elliptische krommen verbazen zich nergens over;
de tweede afgeleide van de tijd verbaast zich nergens over;
de zon verbaast zich altijd. Naar de aarde verstuurd
verbaast hij zich almaar meer; blijf versturen, je verliest vaart;
in sensoren ontladingen, ingebeelde kilte;
Door te gaan had je je niet voorgesteld;
De zon verbaast zich altijd. Blijf versturen, je verliest vaart)

[PARKER SOLAR PROBE KOŃCZY CZWARTĄ ORBITĘ WOKÓŁ SŁOŃCA]
Trwać to coś innego, niż sobie wyobrażałeś.
Peter Gizzi
Trwać to coś innego, niż sobie wyobrażałeś:
krzywe eliptyczne nie dziwią się niczemu;
druga pochodna po czasie nie dziwi się niczemu;
Słońce dziwi się zawsze. Przesyłane na Ziemię
dziwi się coraz bardziej; transmituj, wytracasz pęd;
w sensorach wyładowania, wyobrażony chłód;
dziwiłoby cię Słońce, gdybyś potrafił się zdziwić:
trwać to coś innego. Przesyłaj, wytracasz pęd.
(Słońce ich nie zdziwi: strumienie w kodzie dwójkowym
przełkną jedynka po zerze, oddadzą zręcznym neuronom
z pochodnych, zdziwienia i krzemu. Będą przeglądać destylat,
przerobią go na przyszłość, ulepią z niego memy.
Trwać to co innego, niż sobie wyobrażałeś;
Słońce dziwi się zawsze. Przesyłaj, wytracasz pęd)
