Poem
Şükrü Erbaş
O GOD, HOW
How can streets bear this burden, my godThis crowd is too much
This night is too much
This rain is too much
How can rooms, my god, can endure this void
Till the evening
Till the dawn
Till the distance
How a man can live without love my god
After so much desire
After so much bewitchment
After so much weeping
Time, my god, how would time bring us up?
Without beauty
Without solitude
Without forgetting
How can man accept death my god
As trees live
As clouds live
As children live
TANRIM, NASIL
TANRIM, NASIL
Caddeler bu yükü nasıl kaldırır tanrımBu kalabalık fazla
Bu akşam fazla
Bu yağmur fazla
Odalar tanrım nasıl dayanır bu boşluğa
Akşamlara kadar
Sabahlara kadar
Uzaklara kadar
İnsan sevgisiz tanrım nasıl yaşar
Bunca arzudan sonra
Bunca büyüden sonra
Bunca gözyaşından sonra
Zaman tanrım nasıl büyütür bizi
Güzellik olmasa
Yalnızlık olmasa
Unutmak olmasa
Ölümü insan nasıl kabul eder tanrım
Ağaçlar yaşarken
Bulutlar yaşarken
Çocuklar yaşarken
