Poem
Lali Tsipi Michaeli
The house that will always wait for us
We go out of the house and watch the house
Checking the light that breaks through
How it illuminates the wall on which
Hangs a painting of Leah
Nickel
I wonder if a stranger can recognize that she is as such
According to part of the painting which is revealed by the open space
The balcony seems spacious from this angle
Sitting on the balcony it is more crowded for us
Neighbours on the left and right
Are closing in on us
A small light emerges from the neighbours on the right
The neighbour on the left closes the blinds
It is permanently
Dark in her house
It seems that inspiration has invested
In this building
They did not lay brick by brick
Or spill concrete
Put in windows
Place doors
For functional
Use
So there will be
A roof over one's head
Let's go to the sea now
Let's give the body what is for the body
The home
Which always will be waiting for us
A dog who's face
Will always light up for us.
