Shinjiro Kurahara
A Crow
In a vast expanse of fielda crow with the sun on its back
flying vigorously
suddenly died.
It fell straight down from the high sky.
And at the same time
its huge shadow
dashed into its dead body
at lightning speed
from the horizon of the crimson field.
Having cast a great shadow on this earth
the crow’s heart quit.

鴉
鴉
広漠たる原野背に夕陽をうけて 軽快に
飛んでいた 鴉が
突然 死んだ
鴉は高い空から垂直に落下した
と同時に
あかねいろにそまった野の地平線から
彼の大きな影が
目にもとまらぬ速さで
じぶんの死骸にかけこんできた
この地球に偉大な影を落としていた鴉は
心臓マヒだった
