SHAVINGS

In a cupboard in my classroom
there was a globe
below it I placed
a pencil sharpener
in the shape of
a globe

and that’s how I remember
my worlds when I see
the starry shavings
in the sky

Slijpsel

Op een kast in mijn klas
stond een wereldbol
daaronder zette ik
een puntenslijper
in de vorm van
een wereldbol

en zo herinner ik me
mijn werelden als ik
het sterreslijpsel
aan de hemel zie
