Poem
Jan Lauwereyns
FORGETTING HAPPENS
What a bitter dayit has kept being
the wind keeps howling
back there in my memory implant
strange lives keep swimming
forwards backwards
schools of fish dead issues
my windscreen wipers minimal
the rain
the squeaking
the nightingale’s flight
do you hate it
is it raining
washing across and away.

VERGETEN VINDT PLAATS
VERGETEN VINDT PLAATS
Wat een bittere dag is hetgeweest zijnde
de wind ruist
achter in mijn geheugenimplantaat
vreemde levens zwemmen
voorwaarts achterwaarts
scholen vissen dode vraagstukken
het minimale van mijn ruitenwissers
de regen
het piepen
de vlucht van de nachtegaal
haat je het
regent het
wast het over en weg.
