ENCOUNTER WITH WILLIAM BLAKE

I will see William Blake
like a storm in his paradises of fire

He will tell me that the apple is wiser
than words
but that these transform the apple
into the sun illumining the green fields
There where you will go to get lost
in the crevice of the cricket’s song
eternal reprobate
to sing the green in the green
just as we sing
the first throb of the universe

I will see William Blake
shining his shield of poppies

In search of his lips
he will tell me that God
initiated the song
when feeling the need for  silence

The Angels were musical notes
in the landscape
opening the score
like a bird discovering the dawn

Since then
the liquid breath of the earth
has perfumed the flower
that now unites us in the visions

ENCUENTRO CON WILLIAM BLAKE

ENCUENTRO CON WILLIAM BLAKE

Veré a William Blake
como la tormenta en sus paraísos de fuego

Me dirá que la manzana es más sabia
que las palabras
pero éstas hacen de la manzana
el sol que ilumina los verdes prados
Allí donde irás a perderte
en la grieta del canto del grillo
eterno condenado
a cantar el verde en el verde
como nosotros cantamos
el primer latido del universo

Veré a William Blake
brillando su escudo de amapolas

Buscando sus labios
me dirá que Dios
sintiendo la necesidad del silencio
dio comienzo al canto

Los Ángeles fueron notas musicales
en el paisaje
abriendo su partitura
como el pájaro descubre el alba

Desde entonces
la respiración líquida de la tierra
perfumó la flor
que ahora nos une en las visiones
