Li Heng

Li Heng (黎衡) is one of the most talented young poets in China today, praised for the skillful juxtaposition of surreal and realistic elements in his poetry. Born in 1986 in Shiyan, Hubei, he graduated from Wuhan University and currently works as a journalist in Guangzhou, southern China. His poems have been widely published and anthologized, winning him the Liu Li-an Poetry Prize, the Weiming Poetry Prize, the China Times Literary Award, and the DJS-Poetry East West Award.
