Ted van Lieshout (1955) is a versatile poet, writer, visual artist, and graphic designer. Since his debut, he has written numerous award-winning books, including Gebr. (German Youth Literature Prize, Silver Kiss) and Begin een torentje van niks (Golden Pencil). In 2009, his oeuvre was awarded the Theo Thijssen Prize. He wrote for years for Sesamstraat and Het Klokhuis and advocates for illustrators and reading promotion.
