Neeltje Maria Min

Neeltje Maria Min

Neeltje Maria Min (1944) is a poet with a restrained but impressive oeuvre. Her debut collection For Those I Love I Want to Be Called (1966) became a classic in Dutch poetry, featuring tender and timeless poems about love, death, and family relationships. In Visiting a Woman (1985), romance gives way to a grimmer irony, while themes such as mourning and family dynamics remain central. With collections such as Kindsbeen (1995), Min continues to be a unique and recognizable voice within Dutch literature, free from literary fashions and haste.
