Babeth Fonchie Fotchind is a poet, writer, and human rights lawyer. Her poetry has appeared in De Revisor, De Groene Amsterdammer, DW B and De Gids, among others. She was selected for the Slow Writing Lab and the writing residency of deBuren. Her debut collection Plooi (2022) was received with great praise and nominated for both the C. Buddingh' Prize and the Herman de Coninck Prize.
