Anne Vegter (1958) is a versatile poet, writer, and theater maker with an unmistakable personal style. Since her debut with Het veerde (1991), her poetry has been praised for its unpredictability and surreal character. She dares to experiment with language, making her work feel both alienating and intimate. In 2013, she was appointed Poet Laureate of the Netherlands.
