Biography
Patricia Smith began her career in the Chicago of the late 1980s: the cradle of poetry slam. She is four times individual winner of the US national poetry slam competition and has performed at many venues in Europe and the United States. She has written three collections of poems: Close to Death, Big towns, Big Talk, and Life According to Motown.
