Biography

In his own words, Christopher Chiwanza writes,“I am cocky, amusing, insulting, stupid, amazing, shy, and outspoken – indeed, a lot of things because I embody the union of wit and wisdom. I do not brag, I just think modesty is overrated”.

Also known as Vokal da Poet, Chiwanza is a spoken word artist, slam poet, writer and MC who has collaborated with various musical acts. Birthed into an angry and discontented art scene, he became a protest poet, winning a total of four slam titles in 2012. Dedicating more time to performance poetry, he has established SpokeNHeard, organizing poetry events.
