Poem
Aung Khin Myint
National Anthem 29
before making lovewe stand at attention & sing the national anthem in unison
on a crumpled bed
the shadows of war loom again
even the pillow talk
between a married couple
is blocked out in the newspapers
under a centralized system
whether you are making love, or saying a prayer
your mouth is clogged with a cloth
in love & war
condoms are required by law
in the hands of the new-borns are
AK- 47 assault rifles
in yours truly
victorious-soldiers-of-the-future nation
