Poem
Roland Jooris
THE PAINTER
He writes in dots, in stains. He scribbles what he sees.
He does not
ignore the stiffness
in his arm.
He mows the rustling
down
in even lines.
He journeys towards
the invisible,
the blind lime washed
lucidity
within his reflecting
visual field.

DE SCHILDER
DE SCHILDER
Hij schrijft in stippels, in vlekken.Hij krabbelt wat hij ziet.
Hij negeert de stugheid
in zijn arm
niet.
Hij maait het geruis
evenwijdig
kort.
Hij trekt het onzichtbare
tegemoet
de blind gekalkte
klaarte
in zijn weerkaatsend
blikveld.
