it isn’t death that’s freezing youit isn’t death that’s stifling you
it’s both of them and more
death’s a leg up into darkness
the EXIT sign read back to front
death is kind infinite kindness
compared to this lifeless
falling falling from the curtain
fall
and the seats are empty and the stage is small
and the curtain has no seam no edge at all

het is niet de dood die je bevriesthet is niet de dood die je benauwt
het is dat allebei en meer
de dood is houvast in de duisternis
met borden UIT achterstevoren
goed is de dood oneindig goed
vergeleken bij dit levenloze
vallen vallen van het doek dat
valt
en de zaal is leeg en de vloer is klein
en het doek kent geen begin of eind
