Poem

Desire
Desire is vegetableit asks for roads
air
it wants to tremble in a fruit
to suspend itself
it asks for a fertilizable body
it asks for a lip
it asks to eat and to be eaten
it wants
to entangle itself and wail with hard branches.
It wails because of being
it wants to tremble
to feel itself
to touch itself from inside out
to be conscious of breathing among things.
It wants the wind and the wing
it wants the day
it wants the foliage of its dark strength
shining under the light leaf by leaf.
Because of that it is vegetable:
because of its destiny of darkness and sky
because it breaks and it emerges
because it goes up
because death suffers with its flight.

El deseo
El deseo
El deseo es vegetalpide caminos
aire
quiere temblar en fruto
suspenderse
pide un cuerpo abonable
pide un labio
pide comer y ser comido
quiere
entrabarse y gemir con ramas duras.
Gime por ser
quiere temblar
sentirse
palparse desde dentro
saberse entre las cosas respirando.
Quiere el viento y el ala
quiere el día
quiere el follaje de su fuerza obscura
brillando entre la luz hoja por hoja.
Es vegetal por eso:
por su destino de tiniebla y cielo
porque rompe y emerge
porque sube
porque la muerte sufre con su vuelo.
