Killing an Infant
Killing an Infant
Killing an Infant
When Herald King
Learned of the birth
Of the Messiah
He slaughtered
All boy infants
In Judea.
And,
In that Eastertide
When Robert Gabriel
Learned of the birth
Of democracy
In Zimbabwe
He killed
The infant child;
Visiting
Transgressions dire
Upon those
That dared rejoice
At the breaking
Of the dawn.
But
In this resurrection season,
Woe to you
Who sin at Eastertide;
Thrice accūrsed
Ye who feast
On the hunger
Of the living dead.
Learned of the birth
Of the Messiah
He slaughtered
All boy infants
In Judea.
And,
In that Eastertide
When Robert Gabriel
Learned of the birth
Of democracy
In Zimbabwe
He killed
The infant child;
Visiting
Transgressions dire
Upon those
That dared rejoice
At the breaking
Of the dawn.
But
In this resurrection season,
Woe to you
Who sin at Eastertide;
Thrice accūrsed
Ye who feast
On the hunger
Of the living dead.
