Poem
Yi Sha
Sunflower in the Bathroom
I was lying in the bath-tubsoaking in hot water
something like a hippo, shape-wise
but feeling like a god
the sound of something moving
caught my attention
got me alert: above me
the sunflower shower nozzle
was turning, creaking
towards the one source of light
in the bathroom:
the sunlamp
as soon as I saw it
I went ice-cold all over
the astonished hippo
leapt out of the water—
a man sprinting naked
from the bathroom
no one could understand
what it actually was
that had given him such a fright
