Ticha Muzavazi

IT\'S YOU

It’s you who followed the girl in the valley,
grabbed her by the shoulders,
dragged her behind a rock,
gagged her mouth.

Is it not you who tore her clothes into pieces,
molested her with your cracked hands?
It’s you who suffocated her with your rusty beard,
ruffled her chest,
forced that “evil snake” into her.

Today, things have caught up with you.
I wish I were the judge;
I would order the snake’s head to be decapitated.

Ndiwe

Ndiwe

Ndiwe!
Wakatevera mwana nokumupata wemazizi
Wakamunyangira nokumusana sebere
Wakamukwakukira nepafudzi sembada
Wakamubata muromo kutava mhere
Wakamukakaradzira kuseri kwezibwe

Ndiwe!
Hausiwe here wakamudamburira, chipika chake?
Hausiwe here wakamunombora- nombora?
Hausiwe here wakamuvhendenyura nemawoko anemaná?
Hausiwe here wakatsvaga chausina kusiya pasi pasi?
Hausiwe here wakakashura kanguwo kake keuvanzarikwa?

Ndiwe wakanatira karomo kemwana iwe
Uchimubwitirira nemandebvu ako anengura
Nechapasi uchimupwatisa chifuva chimbishi
Mhere yake mumupata usingamboteereri
Uchimufondodzera zinyoka raMugomboti

Zvino nhasi zvakuwana, wabatwa
Ndongodemba kuveni ndinopa mutongo
Kuti nditi zinyokaro riiswe pamusungo
Riwanikwe chifumi risina musoro.
Nokuti ndiwe wakapaza rusambo zvisina danga
