Poem
Branko Maleš
who’s the rabbit and “i used to be”?
three husbands i had on borneo,on borneo!
all of them were like five men and one
my little naked baby!
they were tall, short, hairy
counties and wild dollars!
i climbed them and saw
the schemes of gods, angels’ building sites,
pipes and elevators
packs of holy air stirred
capers, curcuma, cardamom, cumin and
the port of koper with 25 thousand residents!
a fish was born, they drew water for it
and said, love it!
some big-mouth italia passed
into brown, heated ocean, full of
young electricity, pearls
fell out, toads and 8 princes
together with sonnets!
i only managed to save hazelnuts
from the zvečevo candy factory,
they’re on my ears and now i’m as pretty
as
pepper on egg,
saffron on rice,
at the ocean’s bottom, in dream, in the dangerous
galvanized
game of poker!
husbands ate the ears!
they kept on singing like
harmless guns!
now i’m naked!
i have to get up the palm tree, reach the coconut,
i’ll throw my arms around it like the first widow,
allergy, allegory, cosmetics and
jurisprudence
in india!
three husbands i had on borneo,
on borneo!

tko je sve zec i "bio sam nekad"?
tko je sve zec i "bio sam nekad"?
tri sam muža imala na borneu,na borneu!
svi su bili ko petorica i jedno
malo moje golo zlato!
bili su visoki, niski, dlakave
općine i divlji dolari!
popela sam se na njih i vidjela
sheme bogova, gradilište anđela,
cijevi i liftove
čopori svetog zraka miješali su
kapare, kurkumu, kardamon, kumin i
lučki kopar od 25 tisuća stanovnika!
rodila se riba, nacrtali su joj vodu
i rekli, ljubi!
prošla je neka brbljava italija,
u smeđi, podgrijani ocean, pun
mlade elektrike, popadali su
biseri, žabe i 8 kraljevića
zajedno sa sonetima!
iz zvečeva sam jedino spasila
lješnjake,
na mojim su ušima i sad sam lijepa
kao
biber na jajetu,
šafran na riži,
na dnu mora, u snu, u opasnom
galvanskom
pokeru!
muževi su pojeli uši!
konstantno su pjevali kao
bezazleni pištolji!
sad sam gola!
moram na palmu, moram do kokosa,
zagrlit ću ga kao prva udovica,
alergija, alegorija, kozmetika i
indijsko
pravosuđe!
tri sam muža imala na borneu,
na borneu!
