Meet the festival poets and their translators
In Other Words workshops

1. Sign up for the workshop
After working on your translations, you can participate in a workshop (free of charge!) during the Poetry International Festival. Poetry International organizes a workshop featuring every participating poet and one of their official translators. Participation in the workshops is reserved for anyone who has signed up for In Other Words and have worked on their own translations. There’s still time to start, so sign up here. After signing up, you will receive an official invitation for the workshops via e-mail.
2. Put the following information in your agenda:
The workshops will take place on Thursday, 11 June, between 11:00 – 12:30 at the Rotterdam City Theater, except for the Poschmann workshop, which will take place at 15:00 at the Goethe Institut. Additionally, the workshop with Justyne Bargielska will take the form of an interview with her on Wednesday, 10 June, 17:00, at Leeszaal West.
As soon as we have an overview of how many translators have signed up, we will contact you personally! Registration and participation is free, but not non-committal: after you sign up, we’ll be counting on you to participate in the workshops! And don’t forget to bring your translations with you!
3. What should you bring?
A dictionary, your own translations, pen and paper, questions!
The In Other Words translation workshops will take place on Thursday, 11 June, 2015, during the 46th Poetry International Festival. With their translations, a pen and paper, and lots of questions ready, every participant of In Other Words will be provided with the opportunity to sign up for and to attend a workshop of his or her choice.
