Last night, in an awards ceremony at the Utrecht townhall (in the Netherlands), artist and poet Armando was awarded the 2011 VSB Poetry Prize, an award for Dutch and Flemish poetry. The 81-year-old received the prize for his collection Gedichten 2009 (Poems 2009).
