Ronald Snijders & Band - mini concert
Ronald Snijders is without doubt the most swinging flutist in the Netherlands. He recently received the prestigious Boy Edgar Prize, the Dutch award for jazz music, which also places him among the best jazz musicians in the country. Snijders combines the sound of his native Suriname with funky jazz, afro and other world music genres. The unparalleled and creative sound that results ensures dancing crowds no matter what stage he is on.
Snijders and his band will give a mini-concert on the foyer stage, where he will be joined by Elizabeth Fadel on piano, Franklin Ceasar on sax, Randy Winterdal on bass and Walther Muringen on drums. Energy, swing and atmosphere guaranteed. Snijders and band will also open the Poetry Night Afterparty, later this evening at 23:00 in the LV foyer.
Check out Snijders' performance in Tivoli on VPRO's Vrije Geluiden here.
