There is a poem for that! - Festival opening
This Friday night we open the festival with the spectacular parade of poets that the Poetry International Festival is known for, but with a twist. During this program we will temporarily open the Museum of Poetry, directed by Rotterdam director Rajiv Bhagwanbali. Meet all the international poets and home-grown poets who will be performing at this festival. During this wonderful showcase, each poet will, in his or her own characteristic way, give a taste of what is to be experienced during this special festival weekend.
Featuring Simone Atangana Bekono, Signe Gjessing, Ingmar Heytze, Radoslaw Jurczak, Theophilus Kwek, Ruth Lasters, Ada Limón, Rachel Long, Porsha Olayiwola, Justin Perez, Ester Naomi Perquin, Claudia Rankine, Farhad Showghi, Ribka Sibhatu, Danae Sioziou, Paul Tran and others.
