Workshop – Make your own poetry book in only one hour!
Have you always wanted to publish your own poetry? In this playful and experimental workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own poetry book in no time! Guided by poet and artist Siobhan Wall (GBR), you will fold and assemble an A5 booklet and use the ‘cut-up technique’ to craft new poems from magazines and newspapers. This technique, popularized by writers like William Burroughs and David Bowie, offers surprising ways to rearrange text and spark inspiration. You’ll also receive practical advice on self-publishing, from bookshops to university archives. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own poetry book, new creative skills, and fresh motivation to share your work with the world!
