Known for her unique blend of whisper-soft melodies, gritty electronics, scratchy guitars, and vulnerable strings, LAKSHMI's Pop Noir style promises an unforgettable experience. LAKSHMI is an artist, songwriter and theatremaker. She made her debut in 2017 with the self-titled debut album, followed a year later by the album 'Siren'. In 2021, she broke through to the general public through her participation in the TV show Wie Is De Mol? She released her single 'Empty', including a video clip in which top designer Ronald van der Kemp collaborated, among others. The song was also used for the CBS series 'Charmed'.

LAKSHMI is currently working on her third album, with what she calls Pop Noir, which will be produced by Rob Peters (Typhoon/Bløf) and LudoWic (Wende/Sevdaliza).

BIO

LAKSHMI's music combines whisper-soft songs and gritty electronics, complemented by scratchy guitars and vulnerable strings. The artist, songwriter and theatremaker calls it hereself "Pop Noir". As a maker, LAKSHMI is known as someone who knows how to visually translate her own world in a very strong way. Despite her young career - LAKSHMI debuted in 2017 with her self-titled debut album and her second album SIREN was released in 2018 - she already has two theatre tours to her name. In 2021, she broke through to the general public with her participation in the TV show 'Wie is de Mol?' and released her single 'EMPTY'. For the music video, she was assisted by several top designers such as Ronald van der Kemp. The song was also featured in the CBS series 'Charmed'. In addition, LASKHMI founded her own fan platform 'Only for The Wicked' and released the song 'Grow with you', which she co-wrote with Kensington singer Eloi Youssef.

In addition, in 2021 she was interviewed several times, in the LINDA, Trouw and NRC, she was one of the faces of the Mooier dan ooit campaign for the new cultural season 2021 and she did a TedTalk at the beginning of this year. On March 14, 2022, her short movie 'All I Know' premiered in a number of movie houses. In July, she released her most recent single 'Sun into Colour', did European shows in support of American singer LP and toured in September 2022 with her theatre tour 'Droom', with which she played in 27 Dutch theatres.
