Gedicht
Yao Feng
Plant Man
People, once they stood upright on this earth, began to name with language this great chiliocosm
Roses flower and wither
unaware that their name is ‘rose’
Clivia has no notion
of its relation to Lady Charlotte Forentia Clive
Just now I’m miles from the study of words and of plants
seated wordlessly by my old friend’s bed
His body is plugged with tubes
making him look like a lush tuber
I avert my gaze, at the window a tree
unfolds all its foliage
on glass panes it casts delightful spot-shadows
At last I glance at my friend again
he opens his eyes wide
but he registers nothing at all
