Starting 2025, Woorden Worden Zinnen continues under the wing of Poetry International!

We’re so proud to welcome this powerful platform into our family!

Founded by Elten Kiene & Wesley Loos, Woorden Worden Zinnen has been a home for spoken word, music, DJs, cabaret, visual artists, and international acts since 2010. And now it’s time for a brand new chapter. Together, we are stronger!

Woorden Worden Zinnen #68

Since 2010, Woorden Worden Zinnen has been a platform for spoken word, music, and multidisciplinary performance.

Now, under the flag of Poetry International, it continues to bring bold voices and fresh perspectives to the stage. Curated by founders Elten Kiene and Wesley Loos, their upcoming editions promise to be inspiring gatherings of word art, music, and emerging talent.

On November 2, 2025, Woorden Worden Zinnen will present their final program of the year. This closing edition promises a blend of powerful and intimate performances. At the familiar Dolhuis in Dordrecht, we will joyfully conclude this comeback year of Woorden Worden Zinnen.

All the way from the United States, poet Sharrif Simmons, one of the last members of The Last Poets, will take the stage. This legend shares the spotlight with the recently debuted Xillan, who combines spoken word and music to draw the audience into his coming-of-age novel. From Belgium, Loeke Vanhoutteghem will bring an experimental twist to spoken word. Furthermore powerhouse poet Simone Atangana Bekono will take the stage. Fresh off her Spoken Awards win, Halima Ikane brings a vibrant, evolving perspective with her poetry. And rounding out the line-up is Mahat Arab, stepping in with brand-new work. The evening will be energized and musically framed by host Jennifer Muntslag and DJ Ivan Winter
