Poetry province tour
Since October 2024, Babs Gons has been travelling across the twelve provinces, bringing poetry to the heart of local communities.
Each month, she collaborates with local poets to inspire and engage through poetic activities like pop-up performances, workshops, street writing, and declamations in vibrant and unexpected places—from markets and community centres to prisons and thrift shops.
In February, the tour will take her to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, where she will visit Bonaire to work with schoolchildren and explore poetry in new ways. Earlier in the tour, Gons joined Groningen city poet Esmé van den Boom, performing and hosting workshops at various locations, spreading the power of poetry wherever they went.
Anual event
Once a year, a major gathering takes place where performers compete to be the best poetry performer.
This event is held during Poetry International in Rotterdam.

Poetry Circle Nowhere, Poëziepaleis, Huis van Gedichten, and School der Poëzie.
