The creators of Wake up in It, Judith van den Berg and Wibbine Kien, have established a ‘pop-up hotel’ linked to several of Rotterdam's major festivals. Previous editions include ‘Wake up in Jazz’ for the North Sea Jazz Festival and ‘Wake up in Architecture’ for the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam. Now it’s your chance to ‘Wake up in Poetry’!
Get matched to a Rotterdam poet during the 46th Poetry International Festival. Stay in their guestroom, discuss recently read books over breakfast, see their favorites sights around the city, and perhaps even watch them perform at the Festival. Potential hosts include Dutch Poet Laureate Anne Vegter and poetry slammer Gino van Weenen.
